14-PIN RP1226 ELD Cable — Volvo, Mack & Heavy-Duty Trucks

Connect your Lucid ELD to your truck's 14-pin RP1226 diagnostic port. This replacement RP1226 cable delivers power and J1939 engine data to your ELD device, keeping you FMCSA compliant without splicing, adapters, or a trip to the shop.

Most heavy-duty trucks from model year 2018 and newer use the RP1226 14-pin connector instead of the older 9-pin or 6-pin ports. If your truck has a 14-pin port, this is the cable you need.

Why drivers choose this cable

  • Plug-and-play install — connects to the RP1226 port in under a minute. No tools, no wiring, no mechanic.
  • Full J1939 data — passes engine hours, odometer, VIN, and diagnostic data straight to your ELD.
  • Built for the road — shielded cable and locking connector hold up to vibration, heat, and cold.
  • Direct replacement — swaps in for a damaged or missing cable without changing your ELD device.

Fits trucks with a 14-pin RP1226 port, including

  • Volvo VNL, VNR, VHD and next-gen VNL
  • Mack Anthem, Pinnacle and Granite
  • Freightliner Cascadia, M2, 108SD, 114SD (2020+)
  • Kenworth and Peterbilt models equipped with RP1226

Where to find your RP1226 port

  • Volvo — top of the dash, near the fuse box
  • Mack — passenger-side dash, behind or under the fuse box
  • Freightliner — passenger-side doghouse under the fuse box, or center overhead console

Frequently asked questions

Will this cable work with my truck?
If your truck has a 14-pin RP1226 diagnostic port — common on Volvo and Mack, and on most heavy-duty trucks from 2018 onward — this cable will connect. Check the port before ordering.

Do I need a mechanic to install it?
No. The RP1226 connector is keyed and locks into place by hand. Installation takes about a minute.

What's the difference between RP1226 and a 9-pin cable?
RP1226 is a 14-pin connector designed for telematics and ELD devices, so it doesn't occupy the 9-pin diagnostic port your mechanic uses. Newer Volvo and Mack trucks use RP1226 as the standard telematics connection.

Is this cable FMCSA compliant?
Yes. Paired with a registered Lucid ELD device, this cable supports full FMCSA ELD compliance.
